The Messenger, Ferunas’ debut jewellery collection is crafted with the intention to balance the mind and spirit in the context of life transformation and renewal.

In nature, one of the greatest galvanizers and messengers of change, is the beetle.

 

Easily overlooked given its diminutive dimensions, our beetle neighbour is capable of impressive persistence and strength in transforming themselves and their environment through time. Because of its beautiful metamorphoses process, ancient Egyptians revered it as a highly spiritual creature, associated with the god of creation, spiritual maturity and divine wisdom.

 

Balancing feminine and masculine symbols, while depicting the gentleness of one of nature’s most under-stated but powerful creatures, the imperial beetle, this is a jewellery collection to balance the mind and spirit in the context of life transformation and renewal.

 

The design harmonises elements of both celestial and earthly energies. The textured body of the beetle is reminiscent of the craters of the moon, a satellite traditionally associated with feminine influences. The leaf texture on which the beetle rests is reminiscent of the sun’s masculine rays, as we see them beneath our eyelids.
